One of my best friends passed on yesterday. Velvet enriched our (and supervised) our lives for 16 years. She was my gardening buddy and we will greatly miss her.

Ohhhhhhhhh, I am so sorry! My Princess was all black too and my little buddy! We just have to think about the good lives we gave them and the fun they brought to ours...furry little angels (and sometimes, devils! :)

So sorry about the loss of your gardening friend and precious companion Velvet. What a beautiful name for your midnight-hued kitty.
My goodness I am so sad that your kitty has passed. I know how hard that is. I am sure you will get little reminders while you are gardening...they never really go away...they are always in your heart.

I saw the picture of the kitty and had to come here before the recent post...I care for 19 - all rescues...it is so sad...we lost one last fall who was 18...
